Hot Fruits 20 is a game from Amatic Industries, one of the many these days to feature classic style graphics in a modern 5-reel setup. There isn’t too much to praise about the game, but for a fan of the genre, you do get the kind of fruit slot that you might want to try out once again.
5×3 reels will be spinning for you, in each round of Hot Fruits 20. The title does give away the number of lines, so you have 20 of them active every single time you play it. When it comes to the potential of this slot, you can expect for the better payouts it has to give away to reach a maximum return of 1,000x your stake for the round, which means that up to $100,000 could be paid. As a slot machine with a bit of a classic heritage to it, it shouldn’t be a surprise that the list of features is on the simple side, with the only options listed being stacked symbols, wilds and scatters.
Betting and Prizes
You need to always have a wager which covers the slot’s 20 lines, so you start with as little as $0.20, meaning that each line will receive $0.01. At the other end, you get a maximum bet of $100 per spin, which would mean that $5 would go to each line then.
$100,000 might sound like an excellent top jackpot to have as a target, in any slot machine, but considering that the bet would need to be at $100, you only get a 1,000x multiple back. It’s a decent top prize, but nowhere close to impressive, especially these days, when plenty of medium volatility slots get to 2,000x or 3,000x.
Hot Fruits 20 Slot Features
Once we get to the features incorporated in Hot Fruits 20, we discover mostly a very common mix of options, so once again the slot fails to stand out here.
One of the things to note is that the regular and wild symbols appear stacked on the reels, which means that they make it much more likely to form multiple winning combinations at the same time. Of course, this adds to the volatility of the slot as well, since a stacked symbol can block multiple positions on a reel, and you might need something else there.
Wild symbols are going to show up as Red 7s, and they are both substitutes and ways for you to form top paying combinations. For the slot’s ultimate rewards, you need stacked Red 7s covering all positions, since with 20 wins you get paid 1,000x total stake.
Another way to get paid, but sadly not one that would get you access to a feature, the Gold Star is a scatter symbol that pays up to 500x total stake, if it appears up to five times in random locations.
Theme & Design
It’s a fruit style theme, so the classics served as inspiration for Hot Fruits. The game has as symbols icons with Wild Red 7s, Star Scatters, Watermelons, Grapes, Plums, Oranges, Lemons and Cherries. These are all expected in a game with a fruit theme, they’ve been around for about a century in slots. The issue is more related to the design quality, which is fairly low, making it look like a land-based slot that’s been converted for online use.
Hot Fruits 20 looks like a slot machine that might appeal to someone used to playing land-based slots, but for an online slot machine it’s way below the average of a 2019 game, the year of its release.
